Dear Maxis CyberlinQ Participants,
Congratulations on the effort you have done for the Competition and Well Done in maintaining the team spirit throughout the period.
Understandably, the competitive spirit will surface to push and motivate us to do better than the next team.
However, harness it the wrong way, competitive spirit can bring negative vibes to the competition. We saw unreasonable comments laced with unappropriate words being
used in shout box and in comments area. This is really unfortunate.
One of the Competition objective is
To instill strong community values and team building amongst the participants. Please always bear it in mind. If you find any members of your school or community behaving as mentioned above, kindly advise them to retract the statement made or apologise.
The Committee wish not to penalty any teams unnecessarily.
All the best in the final leg of the Competition.

Hi All!
It’s almost to the end of phase 2 competition. The committee hopes you and your teams are all well-prepared with the project and the report (blog / website) and will complete it before the deadline of the competition. We highly appreciate the invitations to attend your events. In order to arrange the logistic for the representatives, please sent us the invitation at least a week in advance and to include the program brief and itinerary. Invitation can be sent via fax to 03-2026 8009 or email to cyberlinq@maxis.communities.com.my.
As we all know, CyberlinQ projects must have promotion materials to inform their projects to the community. Below are some of the photos of Maxis CyberlinQ project banner captured from CyberlinQ teams’ blog / site. We hope more teams will have their own photos of the promotion material (such as banner, bunting, leaflet, brochure etc.) and send it to us to be posted here in our blog.

Hi All!
It’s almost to the end of phase 2 competition. The committee hopes you and your teams are all well-prepared with the project and the report (blog / website) and will complete it before the deadline of the competition. We highly appreciate the invitations to attend your events. In order to arrange the logistic for the representatives, please sent us the invitation at least a week in advance and to include the program brief and itinerary. Invitation can be sent via fax to 03-2026 8009 or email to cyberlinq@maxis.communities.com.my.
As we all know, CyberlinQ projects must have promotion materials to inform their projects to the community. Below are some of the photos of Maxis CyberlinQ project banner captured from CyberlinQ teams’ blog / site. We hope more teams will have their own photos of the promotion material (such as banner, bunting, leaflet, brochure etc.) and send it to us to be posted here in our blog.
Nextperiment team from Universiti Teknologi MARA Shah Alam, Selangor proudly posed with their banner SK Tandop Besar, Kedah And finally, Congratulations to Ms Lat (Sung Siew) and Lieza (UNIMAS-Independent Chase) for being so active in our blog by giving questions, comments and feedback (as of 1st October,2007). Maxis CyberlinQ 2007 provides the platform for the participants to conceptualise, design and implement the projects to benefit their surrounding community. Participants will be challenged to meet their targeted goal. They have to use their problem-solving skills and apply project management skills to run the project smoothly and successfully. Visit

Competition flow
rules & regulation
1. The participants for the Competition
must be members from one of the following categories:
a. Cyberkids School*
b. Primary School
c. Secondary school
d. Institute of Higher Learning (IHL)
e. Registered Community Centre
*schools that had attended KTAK-Maxis Cyberkids Camp
2.In teams of
between 4 to 8 members consisting of students and 1 teacher or advisor.
3. Team
must create one (1) blog or website for the Maxis CyberlinQ 2007 competition. However, Cyberkids schools are allowed to use their existing schools’ websites but must allocate dedicated page for this Competition. Team can use any free blog provided in the Internet.

4. Team
MUST register online.
5. Details requested in the registration form must be provided.
6. Each school is only allowed to register one (1) team only. While there is no limit to the number of teams from any community centre or IHL, a participant can only be a member to one (1) registered team.
7. Each team is only allowed to submit
1 entry per competition.
8. Blog or website can be constructed using either
English Language or
Bahasa Malaysia.
9. All enquiries concerning the Competition must be directed to
the Committee at 03-2026 6008 or by email to cyberlinq@maxis.communities.com.my. The organizer shall not be held responsible for any representation or communication made by parties other than Maxis Communications Berhad or any persons authorised by them.

MUST be given the authority by participants to view their blog / websites anytime during the Competition period. Teams that do not give the authority to the Committee to do so may be disqualified from the Competition.
11. Teams that are selected to Phase 2 of the Competition
MUST implement their project by using the fund given by the organizer. Teams that fail to do so, have to send a formal letter to Maxis stating their reasons and endorsed by their Headmaster / Dean / Manager of the institution.
12. Participants are required to provide a valid e-mail address and contact number.
13. No religious or political content is allowed. Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any blog or website that is considered unsuitable in content or form. The organizer’s decision on this shall be final.
14. The content and intellectual property of all blogs or websites constructed shall remain that of Maxis Communications Berhad who shall be hereby authorised to use the blog or website and / or its contents for any purpose deemed suitable.
The judges’ decision on each stage of the Competition shall be final and binding.
